Cast:
DH – Brian (CanadianWDWFan) Turning 45 on this trip
DS14 – Harry – Celebrating graduating from Grade 8 (High School already?!?!?)
DS8 ˝ – Euan – Celebrating his Half-Birthday because we can’t go down in January
Me – Jennifer – Just happy to be making the trip with my guys!
So we slept in a bit on Sunday morning, before getting breakfast from the lounge by the skin of our teeth! As we were packing up our room, we realized that the Poisoned Apple plate we had just purchased was in a billion pieces in its packing material. I was positive that when I handed the bag over to Bell Services it was intact. So we took it to the lady in the lounge and explained the situation, and she said that she would have someone return it to DTD and bring a replacement plate to our room over at the BoardWalk. What awesome service, and it was really appreciated.
Our move over to the BoardWalk was quick and painless, but unfortunately, our room was not ready. We were given a promise that a text would be sent when our room was ready, so we opted to go check out Community Hall. We ended up spending quite a bit of time there. The boys played video games and fussball and Pac Man and Gallaga, and I made bead bracelets. It was a fabulous way to spend some time. Afterwards we went to Big River Grille to get some lunch. I will just say that distance favoured the Salmon salads that I saw from my balcony the week before. After lunch we went up to see if our room was ready. It was. We had a great location on the lowest level almost at the end of the furthest hall. Close to the quiet pool, Community Hall, the walkway to the Studios, the walkway to the busses and to guest parking. It was a phenomenal location right next to three different entryways. I love having a one bedroom villa, and I was eager to do some laundry … so I did. After a bit we went out to get some provisions from the Super Walmart. We made dinner in our room that night, then did a night time swim in the quiet pool. While we were there, the Recreation CMs were making tie dye t-shirts with DVC members. Brian ran over and paid for Euan to take part, and he made his very own Mickey Tie Dye shirt. We were told to leave it for at least 36 hours before rinsing it out and washing it.
Monday we got up and walked over to the Studios. Our awesome room location had us halfway there using the path! Brian and Harry wanted to ride Tower of Terror and Rock’n’Rollercoaster. We used all four of our passes to get two fastpasses for each attraction, timed 20 minutes apart … so it was good. We walked back into the park and decided to take another Flight with Star Tours and then in to see the Muppets, before heading back across town for the guys Fastpasses. Brian and Harry went on ahead, and Euan and I meandered over. En Route we were able to help out a Dad and his teenaged son locate a spot from where to procure some food (Having a teenaged son, I understand the need), and then we wound in and out of the shops over to Tower of Terror. Euan and I have spent a lot of time in the gift shop there, and we were looking over the pins when Brian and Harry came out. We walked with them over to Rock’n’rollercoaster and agreed to meet them in that shop when they were through. Euan spent some time making a “record” at a Kidspot type place while I got some ice for our Britas from the concession stand there. When he was through we went into the shop where the big guys eventually met us. We decided to ride the Great Movie Ride again before getting some curry at the ABC Commissary (it was pretty decent). Since it was getting hot and busy, we opted to head back to the hotel. There was quite a group waiting for the boat, so Harry opted to walk back, and the rest of us rode the boat. After all the stops the boat makes, and then our stops at the shops to look at the pin boards, I am sure Harry was back in the room for almost an hour before we got there! We hit the pool for a swim, then back upstairs to clean up. Our friends who live locally were coming over for a visit that night, and we were looking forward to seeing them. So we ordered some pizzas and wandered around the Boardwalk with them that evening. It was another great day.

I'm glad they sorted the plate out!
The boat is slow, isn't it? But DD and I love taking it, just to look at the different resorts.

OH NO about the plate!!! Glad you had wonderful service in getting a new one to you.
So I'm guessing you didn't enjoy your meal at Big River? I wasn't impressed when I ate there a year or so ago.

Brittany, I think it's one of the coolest keepsakes we have ever gotten from Disney. I think that I've already washed it about 8 times!
