    Default HHN Theme

So I received the email announcement something abut Silent Hill? I know it's a game, I think it was also a movie. I have to admit this is one I am not familiar with. And I love scary movies so...
wonder what this will be developing into- overall theme or houses too? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

We won't be going this year. Had to decide between one more trip with the kids before school starts or going to HHN without them since husband does not want to take them out of school. I opted for the August trip to Universal so I wil be anxiously awaiting the trip report from anyone who goes.

Yep... One of the houses will be themed to Silent Hill... There will also be plenty of Zombies this year.... I think they are making another announcement tomorrow regarding the theme for a second house...

TRICIA JONES: I heard that you were going to propose to Brandi Svenning at some theme park. When are men going to learn that women want ROMANCE, not Mr. Toad's Wild Ride...

BRODIE: Hey, now, be fair. EVERYONE wants Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

My husband read somewhere- and I don't know if this was just speculation, but they did mention Silent Hill- that Walking Dead and possibly Eli Roth's Hostel were potential candidates for the houses this year.

I read online about Walking Dead too... Hostel is new to me though... If Walking Dead is true, I suspect that will be the last house announced since the show is extremely popular...

Wow! Walking Dead officially announced! I'm so excited. I think it's one of the best shows on TV.

We haven't planned our trip yet because our work schedules are tight, but now we'll have to figure out a way to make it work (we don't want to miss, we've gone every year since 2005).

I checked the HHN website right before they must have posted it!

    Thanks for the update!

From Universal's HHN Official FB page:

The walkers are coming… Will you be able to escape their bloody grasp? This year, AMC’s The Walking Dead will crave the flesh of guests at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood in an all-new, intense haunted house.

Can anyone tell me the operating hours for HHN. I know it’s open at like 7-7:30. My DD was looking and we didn’t see anything. She said some nights stay open later... Thanks...

I hope it’s a good year this year. All the boy's are going for the first time (baseball team) DS16 and his friends. I want them to be really scared
Been there, done that and going back!!! See ya real soon !!!

I think 7-12.... But maybe on weekends they keep it open longer??? I don't recall honestly...

But if you get the stay and scream option, you can stay in the park and start touring the houses 30 to 60 minutes before gates open...

Thanks, I'm going to look into that option. I want them to see at least a couple houses. I know it gets so crowded.

Do they have the "fast pass" ?

With the stay and scream, you have to attach the option to your day park ticket, easy enough to do.. I believe the add on is $30...

Yes, they sell Express Pass for the houses... Check the HHN/Universal ticket sites to make sure they are available for the night you are going... if during the week, may not be needed... I went on a Thursday last year, and even though I had long waits to get into two of the most popular houses, I still got everything done (all houses and the scare zones a few times each plus the Bill and Ted Show and hitting a few rides) all by 11:00 PM...

Alice Cooper...wow they are really reaching far back for that one. Will any of the 20 somethings even know who he is? He was even a little before my time.

Well he was just in Dark Shadows, so if any 20-somethings went to see that (did anybody???), then maybe LOL....

But if this is anything like the 3D house from last year, man, will it be freaky and great!!!

LOL, I was thinking the same thing. I am in my mid-thirties and he was before me (mostly), too. Will anyone care? LOL. I can't imagine this one will be the tipping point to get people to go.

Alice Cooper won't be the draw, the house itself will... Did you see the 3D house last year??? It was easily the best house, well, at least in my opinion... it was freaky... And add Alice Cooper horror into it, and it may be even better... Though, Rob Zombie may have been a better choice... That man has a warped brain and can create some wickedly evil content...

Yes, I did see the 3D house. I agree with you on Zombie.

He probably would come at too much of prohibitive cost...

That 3D house last year, your opinion??? I thought it was trippy...

LOL yes, they probably can't afford him.

Yeah the 3D house was awesome, we all loved it. I've been to other theme park haunted houses that "tried" to do 3D and it just didn't work. Certainly much different story at HHN.

You had to go there lol. Dark Shadows is a sore subject with me. I loved the old series on TV and hated the previews I saw and refused to go.
I'm sure the house will be great but was just questioning if most of the younger crowd will "get" the theme.
