Celebrating 40 years of Disney Parks this year

I am celebrating 40 years of Disney Parks this year. My first trip was the summer of '72 to DL. I didn't get out to WDW until '84. My trips have been amazing over the years. Anyone else on INTERCOT celebrating milestones this year?

I guess I am up there with you. My first time to Disneyland was in 1968. Haven't looked back since.

This would be 41 years for me....I grew up in Merritt Island (about an hour away from Orlando) and we went to MK everytime we had company. I was 11 when MK opened in 1971. Oh the sweet memories!

Hadn't thought about it til I read your post - but this is 20 years of visiting WDW.

My very first trip to WDW was 15 years ago this August. I was 20 years old, and I remember thinking "this place would have been so cool to come to as a kid".

My parents took my brothers before I was born, back when it was just MK. They never did make the trip back after having me so I never experienced WDW as a child.

Happy Anniversary Sean!!

Next year will be my 30th anniversary of visiting WDW (the year after Epcot opened), and my 10th anniversary of visiting Disneyland.

I think a return trip to Disneyland will definitely be in order!

I guess I'm still one of the "newbies" when it comes to Disneyworld ... I've only been visiting for 8 years, and DH loves to remind me how he got to go as a kid. Oh well, better late than never!

This will be 36 years for me. My first trip was on our honeymoon back in Oct of 1976. It seems like yesterday I was taking that first step onto Main Street.

I first went in NOvember of 1972. This November, when we go, will be my 40th anniversary!

I haven't been every year, but some years I've been more than once. I have sort of lost count...


I'm just glad they didn't paint the castle Pepto Pink! LOL!
