Default I'm kind of confused as to how to pick up our pre-paid park tickets at Universal.

We booked our Disney & Universal vacations through Magical Journeys, which I loved!! I'm just kind of confused at the way you have to get your Universal Park tickets. The e-travel documents that I received today list ticket pick-up locations and say that you have to go to a kiosk and swipe the credit card that you purchased the tickets with and enter your reservation number and the tickets will print out. We arrive on a Wednesday late afternoon and do not plan to go the park that day/night. We bought a 2 day 2 park pass that we will use for the next 2 days. We plan to go to early hours to get into the park early for Harry Potter, since we are staying at Portofino Bay. I am a little leery of waiting until the morning of our park visit to try to get out tickets. I would hate to waste our early entry to harry potter, waiting in line or with any trouble printing the tickets. If I try to print them on the first night of our arrival, will that day be considered one of our 2 days of the park tickets that we purchased, or will they not count as used until we actually "enter" the park?

I am so used to Disney's Key to the World.......things are just different at Universal!

Sorry this was so long. I will call Magical Journeys to confirm, but knew someone on Intercot would have the answer.

    Thanks for any info.

We did this as well! The kiosk is not that bad. They have a couple of them. We went in Nov durning the Harry potter event and there was no line for the kiosk (not to say there won't be one when you go). I prefer it to the Disney parks will call

The kiosks aren't bad , but I was able to print mine at home. I have done it both ways. Maybe you can ask MJ if printing at home is an option for you.

The edocs Universal sends us does not give the option to print at home. Their rules, not ours LOL

You can claim your tickets at any time, the clock wont start ticking until you actually use them at the turnstyle. My son was not able to make a planned trip, I claimed his tickets at the kiosk, but didn't use them for a year.

Portofino should have a kiosk in the lobby. WE stayed at Royal Pacific last December and I was able to get my tickets from the kiosk in the lobby when we checked in. If you have a breakfast at the Three Broomsticks, you'll have to print that voucher at home, though, IIRC.

I always order my tickets through Universal, not with a travel agent... In fact, I never use a travel agent, ever...

The kiosks are easy enough to use... You can also go to Guest Service windows and pick your tickets up there, but I highly advise against it... The lines are always way too long and never move fast... Use the kiosks, you are better off...

TRICIA JONES: I heard that you were going to propose to Brandi Svenning at some theme park. When are men going to learn that women want ROMANCE, not Mr. Toad's Wild Ride...

BRODIE: Hey, now, be fair. EVERYONE wants Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

I never even noticed the ticket kiosk at the RP. This is a great tip. Thanks for the info!

It's a piece of cake and it doesn't count until you use them. Get them the night before and enjoy City Walk.

Kiosks are easy to use. It took only a minute or two to print our tickets while we were waiting for gate opening our first morning. Also, we had to use the kiosk because we had will call tickets. Our friends printed their tickets at home.
Our tickets were small paper tickets that easily fit into my wristlet purse. Our friends had to carry around and keep track of their 8 1/2 X 11 printed emails all 4 days (and multiple entrances each day) in the parks. I was very glad we chose will call tickets.
