Default Thanksgiving week crowds - talk to me??

So after my families early March trip decided as soon as we got home that seeing Christmas at Disney has to happen (actually I decided and talked everyone into it)!! After looking over possible dates the only ones that work are the week of Thanksgiving.

Now I know it is crowded and honestly I don't care cause it's Christmas and I am a sucker for Christmas!! But, I would like to be mentally prepared. So what are we talking here, Christmas week crowded, Spring Break crowded or summer time crowded?

Also, any other advice for this week would be great. We usually only visit in March.

We just went this past Thanksgiving Week from the Sat before to the Sat after. I did not find the crowds bad at all. We went to AK on Thanksgiving Day. We got to see just about everything we wanted to at all the parks and we took time a few evenings to resort hop to see decorations. Osbourne Lights were amazing and we were lucky enough to see CP our last night with the dinner package. I would go that week again. We had an amazing time!

We did Thanksgiving in 2007 and 2009 and didn't find crowds horrible either year. 2009 was less crowded than 2007, but both were very manageable. I've been at all times, and I'd compare it to early summer crowds....definitely lots of people, but you will still be able to accomplish everything you want. Plus you don't have the heat to contend with, which can make it seem much more enjoyable. Thanksgiving is one of our favorite times to go! Enjoy!

The early part of the week shouldn't be too bad. Crowds do pick up considerably over the holiday weekend. I've only gone once over the actual holiday and that was quite some time ago but was presently surprised at how manageable the parks really were.

We were there this past Thanksgiving too. I didn't find the crowds all that bad. This was our third time going during that time period and would do it again. The Christmas decorations are amazing. Wonderful time to go.

We have been to WDW Thanksgiving week several times. It is one of our favorite times to go. We would get there on the Saturday before and leave on the Tuesday or Wednesday after (the airfare is a lot cheaper on Tues and Weds). We found the crowds the worst on Thanksgiving day through the Saturday after. Before that and after that they are not bad at all. We once went to the MK on Thanksgiving day but left because it was WAY too crowded, you couldn't even walk. I remember getting claustrophobic in the middle of Fantasy land. We went to EPCOT for the rest of that day and it was fine. Back then they used to put up all of the Holiday decorations that week (I understand they put them up earlier now). It is a GREAT way to kick off the Holiday Season.
