    Default Crowds in late April

Hi everybody! I'm wondering when all the Spring Breaks end. DH and I are considering whether late April or early May is a good time (we are empty nesters now). Do the parks thin out a little bit? Thanks so much!!

Nope. I mean, late April/early May isn't as bad as around Easter by any means, but May has definitely gotten a lot more crowded the last 3-4 years. It used to be almost empty. I think with all the emphasis on standardized testing, and teaching for the test, most kids are done with "school" and just doing busy work during May so a ton of parents now start taking their vacations in May. I've been a little surprised at how busy it is lately.

We travelled in end of April/first week in May last trip and it was great. Crowds were decent and weather was really nice! Great time to visit.

Early May is still certainly very manageable. I enjoy going at this time of year.

We have visited end of April and beginning of May and crowds were very manageable both times. We're going April 19-24 this year and hoping for more of the same.

The third week in April is when MA schools are on break. There are usually a couple of other states that have their break that week. The end of April everyone should be back in school.

I took my mom on a 5 day trip at the end of April about 3 years ago and the crowds were light and the weather was gorgeous! Enjoy!

I have gone for weekend trips to the flower show the last week in April a few times and it hasn't been bad. But I normally just go to EPCOT.

Hoping it will be the same this year!

I was there last April, and liked it so much that I booked again for a quick trip this year too. The crowds weren't too bad, and the weather was perfect. Plus you get to enjoy Flower and Garden Festival in Epcot...

Default Last week of April all the way.

Our wedding anniversary falls in the first week of April but our schedule for work always kills any possiblity of going exactly then. Depending on spring break dates it would be madness as well.
But for several years we have gone the last week of April and had a tremendous time. Some days of the week Magic Kingdom is going to be packed no matter the season but mid week cuts that down. The flower and garden festival provides some extra Disney Magic as well. The weather is usually perfect .

BTW just to show I follow my own advice:
If you happen to be wandering round the park between the 24th and 28th of April, smile at everybody you see. I might smile back.
