Quietest rooms at POR?

Dear Hub and I will be staying at POR next month. Our first time staying there.

Does anyone have a recommendation on the quietest rooms? We would like to request one when we check in and it would help if we are "pre-loaded" with some room numbers. We have requested a "garden view" and we don't mind walking extra distance if it means we'll have a quiet room at night.

Not sure when you are going but we just booked our rooms there this morning for next month as well. We are having a River view Royal room. We will be there from the 20th til the 22nd. If we are there before you are, we can let you know something. This is going to be our first time as well.

We are hoping that since there are no scheduled groups coming in and the fact that its a Moderate resort instead of a Value that it will be quieter no matter where we are.

We're there next month from the 21st to the 27th. We have paid for a "garden view." I didn't want to look over another parking lot like we did at YCR.

IMHO, the Alligator Bayou section is quieter than the Mansions. Ask for a room in building 39 (37 or 38 are good choices too). Click here to see the map of the property. We've stayed lots of places at POR and this is our favorite location. It's very relaxing, quiet and peaceful. It's not real close to the food court or a bus stop, but it's not very far either - a 5 min stroll is about all it takes.

I agree with Steve! We always stay in 37, 38 or 39. Asking for an upper floor seems to help with the noise as well.

I have been to POR many times and been in several different buildings and thus far each has been equally as quiet. It's a very laid back, quiet, shaded, just overall relaxing place !!! Get as close to the main building as you can, as you will want the shorter walk, especially since all rooms are similarly quiet. !!
