I just read Davy Jones from the Monkees has died. He was 66. He was always my favorite. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

Yes, I was also very sad to hear this. I loved listening to my aunt's Monkee records as a kid - I had trouble understanding that they had broken up almost 20 years prior but loved them nonetheless.

It's my understanding that he was supposed to be playing at EPCOT from May 18 - 20 for the Flower Power Concert Series.

Truly a sad day.

Mr. Jones was one of the most popular artists at the yearly
"Flower Power Concert Series" at Epcot.

He was scheduled to be the last of the artists to perform in this year's series.

I am so sorry to hear about Davy Jones - he was always my favorite Monkee. We saw him and Micky Dolenz last spring at the Flower Festival - the show was terrific! A couple of days later at the Orlando Airport I was standing next to a guy who looked really familiar but it wasn't clicking who it was. As we exited the tram he started singing "Daydream Believer" and I realized it was Davy. Now I'm really sad that it didn't click quicker and I didn't get to tell him what a great show it was. RIP Davy - thanks for the music and the memories...

Even though the show went off the air long before I was born (1977) I remember as a kid watching the reruns on tv and thinking they were the coolest band in the world. He will be truly missed. he really had a great singing voice.

I first heard of Davy Jones on the Brady Bunch, when Marsha was a fan. Then later, I caught up on Monkees reruns when the show aired on MTV and Nickelodeon in the 80s, and I caught them in concert. What a fun bunch! I'm so sorry to hear of Davy Jones's fatal heart attack, age 66. Another one gone too soon.

So sad. I love Davy Jones. I am so fortunate to have seen him and one of the EPCOT concerts. He was a gifted performer. I will miss you, Davy Jones.

I must confess I was a Monkees fan when I was a kid. Saw Davy Jones perform at Epcot in the last year or two. So very sad!

I was obsessed with the Monkees when I was a kid. They were in reruns by then, but I had a huge crush on Mickey (I was destined to marry a drummer.) But, I always thought Davy was so adorable. I saw the Monkees in 1986 at the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia. It was so much fun and a dream come true. I always wanted to see Davy perform at Epcot, but never was there the correct week. So sad. Such a loss, and so young. He is only one year older than my mom.

I loved the Monkees when i was growing up and Daydream Believer is a classic a brilliant vocal....
He will be sadly missed
