Default Online check in room request success?

I was looking at the online check in form today, and noticed an area you can request a king bed and/or a room near transportation.

Has anyone had success with these requests, specifically using online check in?

I am wondering how often the requests are fulfilled.

I usually note such requests when I make my initial reservation.

I always note my requests on the initial reservation, and have had some luck in getting them, although we never seem to get the ground floor room that I always request.

When we did online check-in, I did select "close to transportation", and we were super-close, so I guess it does help, but not guaranteed.

If there is somthing you're really hoping for, don't wait until online checkin, have it noted on your reservation.

We would LOVE to have a king bed, but aren't those usually extra $$? While I'd love to HAVE a king bed, I won't pay extra for one...

    "Is it?"
"Yes," said Eeyore. "However," he said, brightening up a little, "we haven't had an earthquake lately."

We noted requests on our reservation (though not when we booked) and requested online and didn't receive. BUT we were able to change once we had arrived. It definitely backed up the "quick" online check-in process though.

We requested "close to transportation" when using online check-in last month for our WL stay. I wasn't sure what that would mean, but we wound up in a room close to the elevator, which was nice.

I have not had to before, at least not at Pop Century. I just have gotten a handicap room (I think they are the only ones with king beds), which I think they have an over abundance of.

We were just there in December. We requested a room close to the main building/transportation and a fridge...both were granted and we did the online check-in!

Am I correct in assuming the accessible rooms do not have bath tubs? While I really want a king bed, I'm not certain I could give up my tub. Shower in the AM to get me out the door, then a book, a drink and a bubble bath at the end of the day.

If there is an over abundance of king rooms, would they just hand them out if they have a bunch left over?

Correct. The accessible rooms do not have tubs. They have accessible, walk-in showers.

I'm pretty sure that the only rooms with king beds at POP are accessible rooms, but anythings possible in a resort with 2880 rooms
