Renting DVC points

Anyone ever rent DVC points? What has your experience been? TIA

We don't do rentals on this site. Both sides need to trust each other as both have risks. Typically points cost between $10 and $14. You could try our sponsor, the timeshare store (link above) who are able to rent points out.

A friend of mine at work used name removed as per terms of service a few years ago just prior to purchasing into DVC and had no issues at all.

I didn't realize they rented just points versus buying outright...hmm....good to know!

We also rented points through the Timeshare Store and it worked out very well - easy and fast!

Is the price a big difference as oppose to making a reservation yourself or a TA? Any other advantages? We would just like to rent, I just looked at the Timeshare Store how can I just look at option?

It can be. There is a link to click on to send and inquiry for renting points. They were very helpful. Had it just been me and my family on this trip I would have done it, however we have other fams involved.

Thanks, I am going to email them. It is just our family and I do feel safer using them as oppose to renting from a private owner IMO.

As an owner, I've rented my points a few times and most of the risk is on the renter -but if you're using PayPal and have a contract the risk is reduced.

Thanks Gan, I do agree with you, we rent a beach home here in the Northeast and we have had some issues with tenants. It can work both ways!
