Any experienced marathon spectators?

I'm going down with 3 family members who are running the 1/2 marathon for the 1st time. We're staying at FW. Wondering if anyone out there has experienced what it's like to ride the monorail from Epcot to MK and back for the start and finish. Is MK packed with spectators? Wondering if I should just plan on going to MK and then back to the resort rather than trying to watch the start/finish at Epcot. Anyone know what time spectators can get into MK? I'm assuming the boats from FW to Contemporary or MK would not be running until the usual time. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

No issue at all to watch the start at epcot, take the monorail to MK, and after seeing your runner take monorail back. I've done it with plenty of time to spare.
