Lots of Prayers, Please

Just asking for a favor. My father had a major heart attack on Thanksgiving and is currently in ICU on a ventilator. His heart is doing very well, actually, but he only has one lung and he developed CHF and now they think pneumonia. Also his kidneys are not working very well. He is pretty critical and I would really appreciate any prayers you might have for him. We were supposed to leave for Disney for the Christmas celebrations next week, which I went ahead and canceled. He was really looking forward to it

If you don't mind, I'd like to piggyback on this thread and ask for prayers for my SIL. She suffered a stroke on Thanksgiving. Preliminary tests show she has a good chance of recovering, but you never know until she actually does.

Ria, prayers for your FIL. I hope that he recovers quickly and that you get a make-up trip very soon. (Having gone done that cancel/reschedule road, I pray that you have a trip that is even sweeter because you know what has been overcome to get to your destination.)

Thank you for the prayers and pixie dust. He remains in critical condition in the ICU at this time. Thankfully his heart didn't seem to sustain damage from the heart attack because they took care of it so quickly, but he definitely has pneumonia which is proving to be a problem with the one lung. His numbers don't look great, but the doctor says the haven't worsened and is still optimistic that he will get off the ventilator, but said he will remain on through the week. Again, thank you for your concern and prayers, it means so much.
