Thanksgiving Camping

I am so excited! We just booked our trip for Thanksgiving next year and we will be staying at Fort Wilderness. First time camping in Disney. I have been reading all the post about camping and have even started thinking of what kind of Christmas decorations to take to decorate with. If anyone has any advice for me I would love to hear it. Thanks for reading.

Evenings can be pretty cool at that time of year so be sure you are prepared for cold weather camping - just in care. It is just as likely to be warm as it is to be cold!

Folks do everything from lights to fake trees to blow up decorations. If you google on Fort Wilderness holiday decorations, I'm sure you find photos that will give you examples of what folks have done.

You may want to check out all the new LED light ornaments. The big box stores have many that are battery operated.
It sounds like fun.

As a previous poster already stated it can get cold in WDW on Thanksgiving week. We've gone for once for 12 nights during Thanksgiving week and we did everything from swim to wear coats and gloves during that trip.

We have visited the campground during Thanksgiving week and many of the campsites went all out. I'm talking full on Christmas decor. Some campers had so much stuff they looked like they were set up to spend the winter there!!! Have fun.
