    Default Our First Family Trip - September 26 - October 3, 2011 - Day 3 - Hollywood Studios

Another wakeup call from stitch this time. We get up and again Jason goes and gets me coffee :o) Soonce we are ready and packed we head out the door. We are still learning our way around the resort. So we finally find the bus stop. Only had to wait a few minutes for the Hollywood Studios bus. So once we get there, we see the McQueen and Mater toparies. Very cool looking. After a few photos we decide to go inside the park to try and find where ot sign up Connor for Jedi Training. They still had the rope up right before the big Mickey hat, but there was someone holding a sign for the Jedi Trianing Academy. So we head in that direction and there is a small line that has already formed. So we get in line then they bring up to the old sound studio to get a ticket to sign up. Connor was able to get in the 11:45 show (I believe it was the 2nd or 3rd show). Cannot remember. So after he signed up they high tail it for the Star Tours ride. Line is not long at all so they went on the ride. I waited for them at the exit/gift shop. So of course they thought the ride was awesome. We looked in the gift shop after and Connor built a lightsaber. Once we did all of that we decided to go to Muppetvision 3D. Connor found the hidden key under the mat. After the show we saw the line for Phineus and Ferb. So we decided to wait in line for a photo/autograph opportunity. Once we did that we went into Pizza Planent for bathroom breaks and Connor played a few arcade games. By the time we did all of that it was time for Connor to meet back up to do the Jedi Training. He was so excited. He acted like we were going to give him a million dollars. What was best of all is that he was picked first to fight Darth Vader. He is #1 fan of Star Wars and #1 fan of Darth Vader. So that made our trip just knowing he was able to do this. After the training it was time for our lunch reservation at Sci-Fi Drive In. We had to wait about 10 min then our car was ready. Highly recommend the cookies and cream milkshake. Drooling just thinking about it. After we were off to the area where Tower of Terror was. Connor decided to go on it. At first he was not scared, but once we got inside he was getting a little firghtened. But he still decided to go on the ride. After we got off he was ready to tackle Rockin Roller Coaster. When we got up to go through the gate they stopped us to measure him. Well he just missed it by a couple of inches. He was so disappointed. I told him next trip he should be tall enough. So the rest of the day entailed more rides (backstage tour, toy story mania, great movie ride). We also got to meet Sully from Monsters and went into Walt Disney's Dream (very nice). Connor decided to take a nap while thew movie was playing so we saw the movie twice so Connor could get a good nap). We eventually went to meet a friend of Jason's who worked at Guest Relations inside the park to say hi and walked through a few stores. We tried to convince Connor to stay for fantasmic but he was getting tired and wanted to go back to hotel. So we convinced him to go to Downtown Disney. We told him that is where lego store was. Well that changed his attitude. So we jumped on a bus to Pop Century (they do not have a bus that goes directly to DD from HS) and then got on a bus from there to DD. Once there we took him to lego store. He of course picked out a few Star Wars Legos and some of the lego city police and space ones. We had to ship a couple knowing they would not fit in suitcase to come back. So once we did that we decided to go to T-Rex to grab a bite to eat, hit a few more shops, then get back to the hotel. Another early day tomorrow - heading to Animal Kingdom.

So glad Connor got the chance to battle Darth Vader! That must have made his day! Coupled with new Star Wars Legos, he must have been a happy little boy!

So, did he like Tower of Terror? My nephew is a little bit younger and we were trying to figure out how he might do (or not do) on that ride!

He was scared once he got inside the hotel and they did the pre show. He did close his eyes and cover his ears while on the ride, but after he did say he wanted to go on it again.
