Adr ?

Hi All! Well, we will be visiting WDW in October! We are all very excited and the planning is under way. I have a question re: ADR's. We have our flights booked but don't have a place to stay yet. We are hoping to do an RCI exchange into a DVC property. I know you can go ahead and make ADR's without having the dining plan, but what happens when you do purchase the dining plan and you have already made reservations somewhere that required payment up front? For example, I went ahead and purchased breakfast at Cinderella castle. What happens when I get the dining plan?
You guys are always awesome with sharing information and I greatly appreciate it! Please throw some that our room exchange comes through.

what a great question. I was actually going to post this because we are in the same boat for December and werent sure what to do with HDD or Mickeys Backyard BBQ. We would like to book them as soon as we can but we didnt know what would happen if we get lucky and they offer a free DDP.

They will refund your credit card if you have the DP. When I called to make reservations, payment had to be made even though I was already on the dinning plan.

I don't think they charge your credit card unless you are a no-show...we did this show in 2008 and they did not charge our credit card only used it to guarantee the table in case we were a no show.

If you book without dining plan places like CRT, HDDMR and SpiritofAloha all charge you up front...

I actually called disney dining this year after we booked our latest trip with dining plan and asked this question... because I didn't want to pay up front to have a refund issued sometime in the distant future.

What was told to me is that if you book without DDP and then you decide to get the dining plan you can call disney dining and they will switch your ADR to dining plan (aka link it to your DDP resort ressie) and then refund your credit card.

It took them about 7 days to refund my cards
