Default Mixed emotions from last week. Thursday

This morning we are eating with the duck. Time to go to Tusker House at AK. This by far was the best meal I had at WDW this trip. The ham was better than any I had ever had, and I live 15 min from Patrick Cudahy. The food was fresh and plentyful. The interaction with goofy, mickey, and daisy was great. Would have been nice to have donald inside. The kids had fun with goofy and the parade around the room. Did I mention that the food was very good.
After breakfast we did Kilamanjaro. We saw many animals including the elusive John Deere Gator Next we did bugs life. The kids did like this except the the part where the bugs attack.
We decided to go to the hotel to swim as it was hot.
This afternoon we had ADR's at the Plaza. This is a tradition in our family. My wife and I had the Grilled Chicken and ham sandwich. Great choice. For dessert I had the banana split which was way too much.
After the meal we stumbled on the celebrate parade. My 7yo got out there and danced his little but off. They had so much fun, they even kept the party streamers shot out at the end.
After this we saw Mickey Philharmagic, Splash and Thunder Mountain. My 6yo had the time of his life on thunder mountain. I got som great night shots of the castle and train station. when we got to the bus stop we found a disney cruise line bus to take us back to POFQ. Very cool.

Oh I forgot to continue with the attraction breakdown theme. At MK I went to take the kids on splash not too long after dinner and the celebrate parade we attempted the first ride of the day on splash. guess what, it was down. Waterfall turned off and maint guys in the river with hip waiters on.. So to pass the time we went to go on the world famous jungle cruise. As we got to the last turn in the cue the boats began unloading and the backing into the back area.. After a few min we found out why. A boat broke down and they needed to go and get it. After 15 min all boats were off and the broken one toed back and the ride reopened. as was splash after this time at jungle cruise.

Happy to hear that breakfast was a winner this morning. Nice time at AK . . . isn't it amazing how much hotter that park feels, though?

Love your DS' reaction to the Move It Shake It parade! Doesn't it give you a thrill when you see your kids enjoying themselves like that?!

Except for the attraction stoppages, you've had another great day. Yay - the rain stayed away today!

Glad to hear about this more upbeat day, especially the family tradition of eating at the Plaza restaurant.
