Is it me or is that a ridiculous amount of money for a two night cruise???

Wow... that is NUTS!! I thought when first announced, the 2-nt cruises were starting at $340 or so pp, and I'd assumed the price would go down for the 3rd and 4th person, just like they do on every other cruise. I just checked the DCL website, and the July 2-nt cruise, inside cabin, would cost our family of 4 over $1900. (We had considered the cruise, as well... under the assumption it would run around $1200 w/ port fees, which I still think is a bit pricey, considering you don't get on the boat until 1pm the first day, and are off by 8:30 am the 3rd day. So, basically a day and a half on a ship, 2 nights... yup, not even worth $1200, when you figure that we're doing Disney for 12 nights in August, for not much more than double that. )
I know Disney is pricier than all the other cruise lines, but sheesh!

I agree that is really, really pricey. However the salaries in NYC average a lot higher than other areas of the country. I know so does the cost of living but Disney is obviously factoring that into the equation. Unless they have trouble selling these cruises those prices will remain high. Time to look elsewhere to spend your vacation dollars.

I will admit I've never cruised before last year and that I've only cruised DCL, but I'd have to guess there's something special about doing DCL in conjunction with Castaway Cay. I know the ship itself is Disney, but it's nice to have the Disney destination as well.

Call me crazy (everyone else is ) but I'm booked on one of the 2 night cruises out of NYC (thanks to Wendy at MJ) !!
Just wish there was a little more info out there on what to expect. I found some info from the 2 night cruise out of LA earlier this year, but not much.
