What are your thoughts on October deals?

Hey! I grew up in Elgin!

October is great for low crowds, and great weather (but be prepared with ponchos - I recall a once a day sprinkle). The deal part is it's usually a "free dining plan" time of year.

Magical Journeys just told me today that Disney has told them that they were not planning on doing any more free dining this year, since they had it scattered out for the whole year earlier this year. Guess we will have to wait and see.

There was a "late summer deal", but u had to book by March 27th. Maybe you will get something in the mail of a discount. Good luck/

Just spoke with my vacation specialist and she mentioned that there is a fall deal on the *rumor mill* we shall see what happens.

We booked the Dolphin for $152/nite for 9 nites the 1-9th in Oct. If Disney hotels do not offer a room discount we have that. And we are on the side of Epcot countries for the F&WF. Also the Dolphin has their Food & Beverage Festival the 7th & 8th.

I hope they are planning something. We were planning a big family reunion in October but two of my sisters and their families have said they will cancel their ressies if nothing is offered. I can understand with everything going up and up, how can you justify spending $$$ at Disney.
So if they cancel, I am sure everyone will.

I'm still holding out hope for free dining for Nov. They didn't offer it for Nov - Dec 2011 it stoped in Oct.
