Default Tell me about the new Star Tours Ride

I've read a little bit about this ride on the Disney site, but I thought you all would be able to describe it a little better for me. I love thrill rides but a small percentage of them can make me sick (like Body Wars, Mission Space Orange). I would like to know what to expect before I hop in line.

    Thanks!

All that is really know for sure so far is that it will be the same motion simulator type ride set between Episodes three and four.

It will be in 3D and go to numerous destinations including Tatooine, Courasant, and rumored Endor. However, the full description and destinations have been closely-held and not been released yet.

We'll all have to wait until May to see what the changes are. Can't wait!

If you have experienced the original Star Tours, then you know basically what to expect. The motion simulator has been refurbed, but not replaced. The new movie will be in 3-D, like Muppetvision and It's Tough to be a Bug. But the big upgrade is in the multiple destinations. In other words, you could ride the new Star Tours many times and not see the same thing twice. That's really got a lot of people excited. Including me. I hope to check it out in about 53 days!

This is very similar to Body Wars, with the seats that move along with the movie in front of you. Both make me a bit queasy, but Star Tours wasn't as bad as Body Wars as far as that went.

I have heard the ride technology, as in the motion simulator, has been upgraded also. This is supposed to lead to a ride that is smoother than Body Wars or the previous Star Tours.

All I know is that I rode Body Wars once and that was enough but for some reason I love Star Tours and never have had a problem with it. I can only wonder if it's because it was somewhat brighter in Star Tours and there were droids in front of the screen
