    Default Poly Luau in January......Basically a No-Go?

Our trip starts this coming Saturday (yay!) and during our trip we have scheduled a meal for the Polynesian Luau. BUT.....I've been keeping an eye on things and it seems that more often than not in recent weeks (up to now too) the luau has been cancelling a lot of meals. Being aware of that, I have a backup reservation made in case our planned meal gets cancelled. But is it basically unwise for Disney to plan any luau meals for January or the colder months when it's more than likely they'll cancel them due to the cold? We already have another reservation in the week for 'Ohana (which I'm perfectly fine with) and don't really care to do the luau anyway (those traveling with us wanted to do it).

I would say that, most of the time, the weather is moderate enough that they don't need to cancel the luau.

I wasn't lucky enough to have our luau cancelled... We won't take that chance again. I wouldn't count on a cancellation, but within 24 or 48 hours (I forget) you can do it yourself without penalty. It's not too late!

They cancel it when it drops below 50 degrees. This has been a crazy winter down south so I'd imagine that's why it's been canceled a lot recently.
