Default Question about dining plan and large groups.

This year will be our first experience using the dining plan. When 18% gratuity is added for a group of 6 or more how do you usually pay for it?? with a credit card? So if me, dh, bil, sil, mil and two kids and baby go to a sit down restaurant and we use the table service and there is a 18% gratuity how would you recommend splitting it up?? With cash or can they actually split it up themselves?? How do you usually do it?

You can attach a credit card to each of your specific accounts (room keys/cards) when checking in. Servers will be splitting the reduction of TS credits by room key/card anyway, they can also place the 18% on the applicable room key/card.

Another option would be to just stick it all on the MIL's bill.

I usually do cash and split it evenly among the group. My group is usually 3 couples and the kids from each group. Everyone is laid back and cool with that. Whatever you do make sure you are all on the same page before you guys get there. That way there are no hard feelings or disagreements about $$$ when there to diminish your experience.

The servers are more than accommodating. We had quite the mix with 4 different rooms eating together so they would individualize each "check" and then some would do cash, some the room card and others credit or debit for the tips.
