When are you going? Are you planning on staying there or just resort hopping and visiting? Are you talking dining?

I've never stayed there but, we have visited on many occations...

    1. If going during the holidays, you have to stop and see the tree and the gingerbread house.

    2. Like the shops here. Very "boutique" and high end feeling. You'll find items here that you may not find at your local resort store.

    3. Loved the 1900 Park Fare character dinner. Interaction between the stepmother and stepsisters is priceless!

You are going to get one answer over and over again --

    GRAND FLORIDIAN AFTERNOON TEA

Even my redneck husband loves it
The only life I can think of that would be worse than being a special needs mom is not being one...

We will be going in December and can't miss the lifesize gingerbread house. The lobby and tree are incredible as well.

Depending on your taste in music - the orchestra (big band-type) that plays on one of the upper levels of the lobby and the piano player that plays on the first floor are not to be missed. It is wonderfully relaxing to sit or slowly wander while they are playing.

Cinderella's dinner buffet at 1900 Park Fare. It's entertaining for everyone — adults, little princesses and even young princes. The stepsisters are hilarious!

wow! thanks to everyone for the suggestions! we'll be going 11/17-21. i'm taking my mother for her birthday. she knows we're going, but she doesn't know we're staying at the grand floridian and i'm not going to tell her until we pull up to it. due to the suggestion above, i've now booked the afternoon tea for her and will try to get in to 1900 park fare also. i hope the Christmas decorations will be up by then. thanks again to everyone for the help!
