    Default Help With JetBlue?

This is our first time flying anything other than Southwest, and I'm very confused

I printed out the barcode that we scan at the kiosk, but....am I missing something? It says I don't need that document to check in, but if not then what DO I need? There are five of us flying, and we did one way tickets both ways because we purchased them at separate times. If I scan the barcode do I get the tickets? Do I need to check in online prior to arriving at the airport? I know with southwest we had to check in and get a number and that was how we lined up to board the plane. The chosen JetBlue seats aren't guaranteed, so do that mean we need to do something prior to the flight?

Sorry if these are silly questions, I'm just so very confused

You can check in online 24 hours before your flight and can print your boarding passes before you leave. Just go to their web site, select manage flights and from there, select the on-line checkin.

Not sure if this will answer everything, but this is what I do:

24 hours before the scheduled flight, I can print my boarding pass with my confirmation number (except for the time I missed my flight. .) This allows me to go right to the gate and board. For the return, guest services at your hotel can do it for you.

As far as the seats, I didn't even know they had non-guaranteed seats. I always select my seat when I book. Are you on an overbooked flight?

The only time we needed to scan the bar code is when we checked in online but did not have access to a printer. This allows you to print your bp from the kiosk.

As far as the non-guarantee I assume you are referring to the bottom of the JetBlue seat map where it notes that seat is selected but not guaranteed? This is a general disclaimer but in all the times I've flown with them I've never had an issue. This is mostly used in the case where aircraft changes are made or you are seated in a bulkhead.

I should add that if you selected your seats they should appear on the confirmation.

For clarification, you don't "need" the paper with the barcode to check in, but it's faster. If you didn't have it, you can use the kiosks at the airport to search by name, and then you swipe the credit card you used to buy the tickets originally for verification.
