Epcot Hours

Saw on another site today that Epcot's hours are now 9a - 9p for the entire park everyday. I confirmed this for my January trip on the official WDW website on the Epcot calendar. Much of Future World stayed open past 7p anyway so not really much of a change there. It does however, make a significant change to the countries of World Showcase - they now all open 2 hours earlier!

Interesting! Just checked the dates we are going to be there, Nov. 7 to 17, and it shows 9 AM to 9 PM for Future World (used to close at 7 PM) and still the same 11 AM to 9 PM for World Showcase.

World Showcase still opens at 11AM though, at least for my dates.

Hmmm, it appears to depend on where you check the hours as to what the calendar says. On the page where you input a date and get the hours for all parks for 10 days, there is still a distinction between Worlds with WS opening at 11a as it has been. However, when you are on the Epcot page it generically says 9a - 9p to the right of the main text. When you click on calendar from that page, you will see an entire month which also says 9a - 9p with no distinction between Worlds but clicking on a particular date shows that WS still opens at 11a.

Perhaps a moderator can update my original post to fix my error.

Because of your post I went over to the WDW site and found other park changes for my upcoming trip. Nothing worse than showing up for EMH mornings and finding out you're there the wrong day.

I just checked my hours again for my week... Times have changed... Epcot is open later (future world). HS is open an hour and a half later on a few nights and MK is open till Midnight on 3 of our dates!!

Changes for the better... making up for the Hurricanes I guess

Magic Kingdom changed closing times a few times when we were there 4 years ago. I did not notice it as much last year. I am glad to see that they still extend the hours at busy times. I enjoy after dark Big Thunder Mountain.

So...what's the verdict? Is FW open later? I've never seen this my entire life visiting WDW, other than on EMH evening's.

Cool! It would be great to start over in World Showcase first thing in the morning when its cooler!

This is confusing. I plugged in a few dates on the calendar at disneyworld.com and World Showcase hours were 11-9 or 11-9:30 in some cases.

I'd be really surprised if they were to open World Showcase early.
