AKL Summer 2010 July 30

All up and at them this morning. Heading to AK (expect DW stayed back to read and rest). Rode EE 3 times in a row then Dinosaur, Chester and Hester, Triceratop spin, Kali( another dreanching for Melony) and then the Safari which was excellent. Ride seem longer than usual and we saw alot of animals. back to room for lunch. Headed to Jambo pool, naps, and to meet with King Pin. Dinner was sausage and peppers. Lisa Connor Noah and I stayed back for naps, while the rest of the crew headed to epcot for some KiM Possible adventure, There weren't any phones for their mission and ended up only doing one, they did Mission Space and then headed to the MK to meet up with us who were nice and refreshed. MK was very crowded. Rode snow white, the Carosel, saw Philharmagic, the fireworks,and COP. Headed over to the otherside and got a dole whip then rode pirates. This was a EMH and the CM gave poor Noah DS3 a hard time because he did not have his room key. UMM he is 10 years old. the rest of his party including his parents are with him. He finally lets us thru and then we sat in the boat with some very immature teens and we sat and sat and sat. Finally the boat left the dock and we were on our way. Saw the Electrical Light parade, rode Splash(Guess who got wet?), Thunder and headed to ride Space. It was approaching 1 AM. the wait was still 60 min so Rick, Connor, Noah,and I headed to the race cars. After our ride we headed back to Space to check the time. It was 140 AM and the ride was still 60 min. Sadly we went back to room with out riding.

Was Melony the one who got wet on Splash?

You haven't mentioned the weather much except for the storm that changed your plans to go to Blizzard Beach? We were there at the same time and found it to be EXTREMLY hot this summer.

Sounds like you are having a great time! It is so much fun to be able to hop from one park to the next. Sorry the wait was crazy at SM!

Ah, another fun morn at AK. I'm shocked - Melony got soaked on Kali? Really, what a surprise!

We found that naps or afternoon rest periods this trip were almost a MUST since we'd get to the parks at opening & then usually went back in the evening. Glad you were feeling refreshed when you went to tackle MK!

We too were at MK on this evening, and the crowds were in full force - as was the heat still blazing off the pavement from the hot hot day. We had FPs from earlier that we utilized for Space Mountain, but sadly the lines never went down - and the park was jammed. I think we ended up leaving MK shortly after midnight due to the length of the lines & the exceptionally loud tour groups housed within the indoor queues. Notwithstanding that missed Space Mountain ride, another great day!
