Silver Anniversary

Had a great six night husband wife celebration trip with the following highlights:

Four Nights in a Honeymoon suite at W.L. We got our room request and were on the Magic Kingdom side of the resort which gave us a great view of Wishes. (Hint for those who get one of these views...download the soundtrack to an MP3 and you can have the soundtrack play while you watch). Props to the concierge staff....they were as helpful as all the reviews said they would be.

Two Nights at the GF- received a free upgrade to Sugar Loaf when the girl was unable to put us in a king bed....this turned out to be a double bonus since we had tickets for the Night of Joy and got to meet several members of Casting Crowns over breakfast and evening desserts. Also had a nice surprise (white roses) waiting for us in the room when we came back from the parks our first night.

Memorable Meals:
California Grill - a very nice table in the quiet back dining room, lots of free comps and instructions on how to get to the second and very uncrowded second viewing platform.

Artist Point - window table, free appetizers, and the best meal we have ever shared at WDW.

Via Napoli - we got the window seat we had hoped for and enjoyed our food very much...the pizza was quite good, thou not on a par with the better food fired pizzarias we have experienced outside of the parks.

Chefs De France - window seats and some genuine quality time with Remy

Beyond that our red 25th Anniversary Pins got us countless greetings, well wishes, and other comp items (like lemonade at the GF pool and fastpass offers) during out stay. Each was appreciated, none was asked for or expected...the whole trip for us was pure Disney magic.

Shh. Do not reveal the second and very uncrowded viewing platform. It's part of the code when you accept directions to get to the second platform.

You were in the Wine Room at California Grill, where they supposedly don't allow under 18s (but were willing to seat us with our 16 year old daughter, except that we prefer the Seven Seas Lagoon view over the Bay Lake view). And it is lovely. So glad they were good to you. It all sounds wonderful.

We celebrated our silver anniversary at WDW also...it was 1997 and we stayed at Dixie Landings. That was the "big birthday cake castle" celebration theme and altho we did not have all the wonderful dinners you had, it was still so much fun! Glad you had such a terrific time.
