Default lunch at coral reef or dinner at san angel inn?

We are trying to decide where to eat the day we are at epcot. We really wanted to try Le Cellier but they are completly booked. We have to decide between lunch at coral reef or dinner at san angel inn. We want somewhere with atmosphere and good food. And something the adults as well as kids will enjoy (celebrating 2 7yr old birthdays). please help!

My vote would be for the Coral Reef. The atmosphere is awesome and I am sure your 2 year old would love it. I HATED San Angel Inn. I got sick from the food. My husband liked his, but I will never go back.

Another vote for Coral Reef here. Our group loved it the first time. Both adults and kids loved the atmosphere. In fact were going there again for lunch in a month.

Hi! We love both places and they are must do's. With the dudes coming along I would choose Coral Reef-they will have more dining options to their liking and the fish tank is amazing. When you check in at CR ask if you can get a tank side table-sometimes they are available, especially if you have an early lunch ADR.

    Have fun!

Coral Reef for the food and the atmosphere. Your boys will love the aquarium! It's cool to have a sea turtle swim by.

Coral Reef...I have had awesome meals there, and try to go every trip.

San Angel has really expensive, yet mediocre food. They use something akin to Tostitos for their chips...massive disappointment, as it's a lovely spot.

Coral Reef - and get an early ADR - you might be able to get a seat by the fish tank that way and it is quieter.

Well, I just changed my ADR's around a bit to fit Coral Reef in after reading this thread. I have never been but always wanted to. My kids do not like seafood...but they can have chicken! I am so looking forward to trying it!

I'm a huge San Angel Inn fan, but even I have to admit, the boys would probably enjoy Coral Reef more. Maybe save San Angel Inn for another time, but if you go, ask for a seat by the river. it's worth the potential wait...

thanks everyone! i have decided to go with the coral reef, even though san angel inn looked cool, but that is the last day of our trip and i want the meal to be memorable, and not in a bad way! i am making this decision for our extended family of nine so thank you for helping me, dont want to be blamed for taking them somewhere they hated, or made them sick! 76 days to go!
