Just Back 7/18

Had a wonderful time this year. Hot weather & very little rain.

Arrival Day 7/11: Dinner Chef Mickey's very good as usual. My DD4 finally got her pic with a character, Minnie-she even kissed her. Then over MK rode a couple rides in Tomorrowland then saw MSEP...my favorite, glad to see it again one more time.

7/12: Breakfast at Akerhaus (grabbed fast passes to Test Track before breakfast) ... after breakfast rode test track. then grabbed fast passes for Soarin'..did a couple other things then over to Germany for lunch at Biergarten, did a few more things then time to return to Soarin...1st time we ever got to ride...Loved it! -- Dinner at POP, mom's nite out.

7/13: Breakfast at 1900 ParkFaire, favorite breakfast on property. Then over to MK...did a few things before DD BBB appt & DS Pirate League Appt. They looked adorable when all done. When on a few things then went to Tony's Town Square for dinner.

7/14: AK - breakfast at Tusker House, got fast pass for Safari prior to breakfast. The chick driving the Safari stunk..didn't get a lot a good pics. Ate lunch at Flame Tree BBQ-very good for time I've been there. Rode several other rides...did have fast pass for Everest...got shut down on my time to return so I didn't get on it again - went back to POP for a swim.

7/15: Breakast at POP...then over to HS...fast pass to TSM - then saw little mermaid, playhouse disney...DH & DS went on Star Tours, while the girls wandered around for a bit. Did a few other things before lunch at Sci Fi Diner...loved it, it was our first time there. and then went over to EPCOT for Illumiations (very special to us..my DH proposed to me during this show in '99).


7/16 Breakfast at POP...Downtown Disney...did some mega shopping at WOD Store. Took lots of pics around there. Had lunch at T-REX ... ate in ice cave - no ADR made. Back to MK for a trip to Mickey's Toon Town, getting some pics since it will be gone soon.

7/17: Back to Epcot...DH grabbed fast passes for Soarin before breakfast...we ate at the CS in the land...very good & filling. line was only 20 mins for Soarin so we rode it (2nd time) got off & it was fast pass time...can't believe it Soarin back to back. Did several other rides because there were little lines (although we did grab a fast pass to test track after riding soarin)..ate lunch at Umbrella then went over to world showcase where we were in a game of tag with the Princesses & Donald..kids loved that. Then went back to MK to kill little time before Mickey's Backyard BBQ - actually got reservation that AM @ POP (was nothing avail night before). Kids had an awesome time. That was a first for us too.

7/18: Packing up to taking final pics of POP and bidding a final farewell before heading home up north.

How was your stay at POP? What was the resort like in the Summer months?

Stay at POP was very similar to my stay at AS Movies, expect the buses were much better at POP since you did not have to share. Although, we did wait a while for a bus to/from Down Town Disney. Also, at POP I didn't know that you had to walk thru the shop to get to the food court, I think it's better when they are separted. But all and all I would choose POP again, I didn't really notice any difference in the summer months, as I LOVE the heat.

Next time we go in 2012 we hope to stay at the new resort or will be forced to choose AS Music Family Suite, as my kids will be older, that's unless a mod resort will be cheaper.
