Default Not seeing WOC and out $45 (pouting)

    Hey All,
So after weeks of badgering DH, he finally agreed a couple weeks ago to go see WOC. 3 wks ago I bought our picnic baskets (which are sold out for the rest of the week now) and used some DVC points to get a room at GCH.
DS is going camping with the church group this week and was supposed to be back Friday. Well, they decided to come back at 6pm Saturday instead! The day I was supposed to see WOC!
I asked DH if he could ask his Mom to get DS and we will just make it a day trip. He will NOT ask her. I am pouting royally! He suggested I go alone! With a 2 yo! Is he nuts??
Needless to say I want to cry and everyone thinks I am being a selfish baby. Honestly I dont care what they think. I had my heart set on this and am now out money I had to fork over for the baskets.
I will now go back to my pity party.
    Have a good week!

Uh, I'd take your DH's suggestion and go ALONE. As in, leave the 2 year old with DH! And, you go! Make it a getaway trip for just you.

How far away is church camp? Can you go and pick up DS on Friday? Or I would totally go alone!

I agree. Go solo. Really solo. Time to do everything that YOU want to do. Not needing try to work with somebody else so that they don't feel like they missed out on something. Wow, sounds like a great trip!

I'd actually even meet up with you there and take one of those picnic meals off your hands, but alas, my Deluxe AP is blacked out on Sat.

Thanks for all the advice. I have thought about going alone. Its something I have never done before. I am one of those people who cant eat alone or see a movie alone. So I am now working up the courage to go see WOC alone. I will miss my DD though. She loves Disneyland and seeing her face when we get off the 5 always makes my day.

You won't be alone. You'll be surrounded by 4500 of your closest fellow Disney fans.

As the others have said. You won't be alone. We will be at Disneyland on Saturday if you want to meet up.

Going to DL with a 2 year old is not that bad. I am a single mom and did it with DD since she was 15 months old. I came to really enjoy our Disneyland time together at that age as well as the present time.

This is true, mostly. However, I would not attempt to see WOC alone with a 2 year old. Logistical nightmare (actually, I wouldn't even attempt it with help...the show is not made for young ones to be able to see, so that means you'll be holding her up the whole show...30 min...and that is even if she can stay awake!)

I think you should go A-L-O-N-E. DH needs some daddy bonding time.

I am being totaly selfish and I'm going by myself and will be there this Saturday. DH can't get the time off and I can't handle a 5.5 year old and a 2.5 year old on my own. Go and enjoy!

I saw it alone on Saturaday!! The rest of my family was in Six Flags for the day, and they didn't make it back in time. We were staying in Disneyland Hotel, so I walked over and brought back their picnic lunches to eat later (put them in hotel fridge) but then I ate mine, wandered around California Adventures for a while - saw WOC (which I LOVED!!!) then had ice cream and a bit of shopping in DTD. It was perfect, and a really refreshing change to not be waiting for others for a change!
