    Default Express Passes in July?

We are going to Universal on either July 17 or 18 (both are weekend dates). First of all is it worth buying a one day two park ticket? And secondly should we seriously consider the express passes? I am assuming it will be very busy and very hot. But I looked up online and it looks very pricey. Any suggestions or insight would be greatly appreciated!

    TIA

we stayed on site at universal 4 years ago in july and had front of line passes for staying on site.

we were so glad as a few rides had 2-3 hour lineups! I hate to think what this july will be like with harry potter.

I am actually hoping that Harry Potter will take some of the waits away from the rest of the park. I heard that HP had waits of up to 7 hrs. I will certainly skip HP to see the rest of the park in peace!!
