Disney Movies Available on Amazon Video on Demand!

Just got this email this morning:

Dear Amazon Customer,

All that wishing upon a star has finally paid off: Disney movies are now available to rent at Amazon Video On Demand, starting at $1.99. The only question is where to begin: We suggest "Alice In Wonderland," starring Johnny Depp, but you can also go classic with, say, "Dumbo" or dozens of other titles in our shiny, new Disney movies store.

I hope there are more titles added. I've been thinking the 'Disney Vault' idea is a little antiquated in the age of eBay. For example, I bought the Lion King and Beauty and The Beast from someone used since it was not available for sale by Disney. No revenue for Disney there. I'd rather have bought a digital copy for my TiVo from Amazon....

I'd rather own than rent but I do hate the Disney Vault. My girls will be turning 10 soon and so many movies have been in the vault while they were growing up that they can't truly appreciate them all. It makes me mad and sad. At least this way everyone can be exposed at whatever age.
