Off site golf cart rentals

I am still reading conflicting reports on the allowing of off site golf carts to be delivered to the FW parking lot. Anyone done this recently and if so, can you recommend a good company?

At one point, I had heard that Disney had stopped allowing delivery of outside golf carts - that folks who rented off-stie needed to go pick them up a the rental site which typically would mean a trailer was needed. Most recently, I had understood that folks were renting off-site and deliveries were being made to the parking lot area.

We used a golf cart from an offsite company just 2 months ago (March 2010) and the company met us in the parking lot at FW (the lot in front of the kennels) and the whole experience worked well for us 1000% and saved us over $200 over the FW price.

The company we used was referred to us via Intercot PM and I welcome PMs to pass on the info.

I think I'm caught up with PM requests now.

I don't mean to "encourage" people who stay at FW to rent a golf cart from an offsite source but it seems to me to be similar to making s'mores at the campfire - some families buy graham crackers and marshmallows and chocolate bars from an offsite grocery store or bring them from home while others (my family included) go for the convenience of buying a s'more "kit" including the wooden sticks at the campfire snack bar.

And those s'more remind me, Fort Wilderness is a GREAT place for a family vacation at Walt Disney World.

Well.... I'm disappointed that I never received any feedback or PM at all on the golf rental questions. But, anyway I did find a company through another site and booked. It makes me a bit nervous, we've never rented offsite before. But, they were 245.00 cheaper than renting through FW. Do you think FW will ever drop the prices.... especially for weekly rentals?

Has anyone been been successful at having an outside golf cart delivered? Thanks.
