Default Need help choosing a resort

Out of the following resorts which one would you choose and why. I will be traveling for the first leg of our trip with my parents and our young childfren. for the second half of our trip we will be staying at OKW in a 2br villa. For the first 5 nights I thought it would be nice to try a deluxe resort. We will be sharing a room if that makes a difference in your choice. in advance for all of your help! Please tell me why you would choose that particular resort. The only deluxe we have ever stayed in is the BC.

Considering the feeling and environment of Old Key West, a resort of contrast might be in order...variety IS the spice of life. The Polynesian also has 'Ohana and Kona Cafe right there in the main building...two of my favorite restaurants in WDW.

The Polynesian is wonderful and tropical. I like the Contemporary, as well. Very modern...well, compared to Old Key West.

I would also choose the Poly. It is the only Disney resort to me that actually takes you away. The theming is top notch and of course as the other poster has stated. Kona Cafe and Ohana

With two young children, there's something absolutely magical about being in sight of the MK across the lagoon, plus having those easy transportation options. The Polynesian has a relaxed and fun environment. The pool is fascinating, well-themed and a great size for kids. Also, a quiet pool. It's perfect for families with young ones. Plus, the rooms are a good size and there are day beds. Downside, I believe most rooms at the Poly have the sink in the toilet/shower area vs outside it. If that's an issue, and if you love the theming, you won't go wrong at the GF either. The GF is my favorite resort, but my kids adore the Polynesian.

I would most certainly pick one on the monorail loop!

    Smile Top pick

I chose the YC, it is a beautiful resort with all the nautical theme. I LOVE Epcot being so close too. For the kids they have that awesome ship with slides and the pool...........very inviting! The runner up would be Poly- for the theme and the restaurants!

Definitely the Polynesian. To me, it's just the utimate Disney resort. Coming up as a close second place is The Beach Club. The proximity to Epcot and Stormalong Bay make it very special, too.
    Nice work, pal.

I love the Poly. Also the rooms at the Poly,if you request and get the 3 newest bldgs.,have the biggest rooms in Disney. We just stayed in Tokelau facing the "quiet" pool and the location was perfect with very large rooms.

The Beach Club got my vote. I'd stay there every time if I could. I would like to try the Contemporary sometime, too.

I would choose either contemp or GF.
Since you have young children and are looking at deluxes, I would take advantage of a monorail resort.
But, since you are sharing a room w/ your parents..I would not do Poly...great resort but the sink/vanity area is inside the bathroom w/ toilet and shower which can make getting ready w/ that many people difficult

For the ones you have listed, I chose Poly. Being on Bay lake, access to the monorail, and close to MK.

    Cool

Since you have children I pick the GF. Reason is the monorail. Also love the cheery rooms and you can watch the Water Pagent plus Wishes from the dock there. We are trying the BC this year because we will be there for the Food and Wine Festival and all adults. Also we love the resturants at the GF. I'm hope you'll have a great time where ever you decide to stay.

Contemporary with a MK view! We stayed there a couple years ago and we absolutely loved it! Second choice would be the Poly. We loved it also! For me, being on the monorail route is the best! There's just something extra special about getting up in the morning and hopping on the monorail!
