Visa Character Meet&Greet in Epcot

We've had the Disney Visa for a long time now and always say we're going to go to the Character Meet & Greet, but never do. I am more determined this time as we'll be doing fewer character meals.
Basically, I'm wondering if it's worth going or not. Is it mobbed, long lines, long wait, etc? Also, besides the free 5x7, do they allow you to use your own camera?

We've done it 2-3 times and we like it...we've never had to stand in too long a line and you can get the pics on your photo pass too so yeah I think its worth it...although I wouldn't stand in line for an hr for it I think the longest we did was maybe 1/2 hr..and once your'e in there it won't take long....good luck! Oh and yes I'm pretty sure you can take some pics on your camera.

We did it last week for the first time and thought it was definately worth it as we had quality time alone with Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy. They were very playful which made it special.

You can use your own camera in addition to photo pass.

I recommend going after 3:30 to avoid the lines.

We say we are going to do this every year as well and then decided to skip it at the last minute. Your post is helping me rethink it. I think we will try again (more seriously) to do it this year.

Where is the meet & greet located?

I just recently became a Visa Rewards member for our December trip so I'm new to this.

We skipped it last time. Lines were long and we go to Chef Mickey's! Same characters...sorry!
