Default McNabb traded to the Redskins

I'm not sure how to feel on this one. It's sad to see McNabb go, as he is a decent guy. He's been a part of the team for so long, like Jaws. But the only other options would be to renew his contract now (he is 33 and injury-prone) or else lose him in free agency next year. Funny thing is I've heard some talk that it's possible that the T.O. might be going to Washington too.

Kolb has a lot of potential, and he did extremely well in his first two starts (300+ yards - the best two starts of any QB ever), but Reid's notorious clock mismanagement is probably the Eagles' biggest weakness and may doom the team from winning a Superbowl (or at least another NFC Championship game) until they get a new head coach.

Two things that don't make sense.

    1. The trade makes a division rival better, a team that hasn't had a decent QB for a while.

    2. They have to play against him twice a year now.

    Cool

Yeah, the decision to trade him within the division is odd to say the least, but reports are that McNabb sort of forced this deal by refusing to negotiate any kind of extension with the other teams who were in the mix for him.

Given that, I can sort of see why they had to do this deal. Keeping him wasn't really an option.

    out of curiosity...
if the redskins do better than the eagles this year, with mcnabb at the helm, do you regret the trade ?
lets just say they go to the playoffs and you dont...

    just wondering.

for me, when I have seen many Jet alumni do well- I am happy for them. But if they went to new england...uggghhh

    Cool

I personally couldn't care less. If the Eagles do lose it won't be because McNabb is gone ... their defense stinks.

And unless McNabb happens to lead the Redskins to a Super Bowl (which I doubt), I won't care how he does either. Playoffs around here mean nothing anymore. After 11 seasons of disappointment under Reid, it's Super Bowl or bust at this point.

I heard the Delaware Memorial Bridge was closed so Mc Nabb couldn't get back to Philly.

It's nice to see and era of almosts end. Time to rebuild.
