I read this post this morning and I thought about it all day.
I feel so bad for your friends family and having to suffer through the loss of a child in such a tragic accident.

I'm so sorry for your friends loss. I read this yesterday and can no stop thinking about it. It made me hug my son a little tighter today.

Fortunately for my kids, this hasn't affected them personally. Chris and I used to work together and keep in touch but don't hang out. I know his family but my kids and his kids aren't friends so they really aren't quite getting that Marissa is gone. They understand death but aren't feeling any personal effects of this.

I haven't been able to get any updates on Sydney. I do know she had surgery on Thursday to repair the shattered shoulder but I haven't heard anything since. I don't know Sydney's family so getting info may be difficult but I will keep everyone updated if I hear anything else on her.

Sort of an update on Sydney: I hear a rumor (not confirmed by anyone who actually personally knows her) that she might lose her arm. Her shoulder is shattered and they operated to repair it last Thursday. I can only assume she's having complications if the rumor is true.
