Expedition Everest Coat: Please Help

Okay, so we took a family vacation to WDW in December 2009. My mother got a red fleece jacket from the store you pass through after you ride Expedition Everest. She loved this coat. A few weeks ago she fell coming out of a store and severely dislocated her arm...while wearing her favorite coat. They had to cut it off of her at the emergency room to be able to treat her. She was so upset and I would love to be able to surprise her on Mother's Day with a "new" coat. Does anyone have any idea how I could order one? They are not available on the Diseny Store page. I would be willing to pay extra if need be. Please send me any thoughts. Thank you.

Call WDW Merchandising... If you have the old coat, it might have a SKU on the tags, OR if you have the receipt still, that definitely has the SKU.

The number would be on top of the receipt as well.

This past Christmas while decorating the tree our DD accidentally dropped our family Christmas ornament from 2007 (we get a new one every year on our annual trips). The string on the ornament came untied and it fell out of her hand. Well we had no future trips planned so I called WDW Merchandising to see if there was any way for me to purchase a new one. My DD was so upset I just had to try to replace the ornament. The woman I spoke to in merchandising took all my information and told me she would forward it to the store in DTD and they would call me. They called a few days later and I explained what happened and described the broken ornament. They said they thought they could duplicate it and would get back to me. A few weeks later my DD received a package in the mail. It was a new ornament addressed to her. It said that the ornament was a gift and that they hoped the new ornament made her next Christmas a great one. It made me cry. They did not have to do that the ornament was 3 years old and I had intended to pay for it. I asked if they needed payment in advance and they had said they would collect it when the ornament was finished. I'm sure that merchandising will be very helpful and if they don't have the coat they will be able to put you in contact with someone who can.

Certainly hope they can help you and your Mom. Absolutely agree with other posters; love these magical Disney stories and so glad there are still new ones to be told. At CSR last summer I stopped by the little gift store because my brother's glasses had broken and tape wasn't going to do the trick. Desperately needed one of those little repair kits or he would've been unable to join us for our evening's activities. Lady said she didn't think they carried them anymore but asked me to wait. 10 mins later she reappeared apologizing for the wait but said she had found one left in a box of discontinued merchandise. I was so thankful that my brother could enjoy that last evening with the family that I would've paid 10 x the price but there was no charge. For those of you who have these kind of experiences, please contact Disney and let them know how appreciated they are.

My father just found the cut coat (secretly) so I am sending out an email tomorrow with the information (secretly). Hopefully they can help me out, I will keep you all posted!
