Dragon Sisters Trip Jan. 20-31

WHOHOOO! WE LEAVE WEDNESDAY!

This trip is a big fat hairy deal to us - 2009 was not a good year to us, beginning with the ice storm that hit Jan. 27. My sister's birthday is Jan. 28 - on that day the entire town had no power.

So we decided to make up for it BIG time this year!

This will also be the first time it's been just the two of us on vacation since forever. (Not to mention the longest vacation I've ever had!)

Cast of Dragons:
The Little Red Mushu Dragon, Me, 34.
The Black and Purple Maleficent Dragon, my sister, 44.

We're leaving on Jan. 20, but traveling through Mississippi for the first time, stopping at our favorite casino for the first night, and just taking our time on the 21st to see what we see along the way to Florida.

Jan. 22 & 23 we will be staying in St. Augustine Fla. When we drive, St. A is usually a one day stop for us - this time we're staying two days to try and do some things we've never done. (I personally am going to the Fountain of Youth to wait a while for Jack Sparrow. Wish me luck.)

Jan. 24-30 we'll be HOME at the WORLD! Staying at Coronado Springs for the very first time. We're going to hit MK the first day (thank you EMH) but after that it's up in the air.

We have plans for the Mickey's Magical Milestones tour on Jan. 27, birthday breakfast at CRT for the Mali Dragon on Jan. 28, and lunch at LTT on Jan. 29.

Now if I can just get through this next day and a half of work...I'M TOO EXCITED TO SLEEP!

I'm so excited for you and your sister! What a fabulous way to celebrate her birthday and start 2010 on a good foot

I see you are staying at Coronado Springs for the first time. You'll have to let me (and others) know what you thought of it in a follow-up trip report since I'm considering staying there for my next WDW vacation. DH and I really liked staying at CBR last year, but we want to try somewhere new on our next trip.

Have a great trip! We love St. Augustine - stayed there for a whole week last year. Be sure to visit the Disney outlet there - they have park merchandise and you can get some real bargains!
