free Richard Petty ride-along for AP holders

I heard this and just called to confirm and it's true! From now until March 31, AP holders get a free ride-along. No ressie needed, just show up.

Seriously? Whom did you contact to confirm. We are traveling in early March and I would love to do this. Do you know how long it would be, one or two laps?

I am also going in March and my boys would love to do this. They are finally old enough!! Ihope this is true as we have AP's!

well, I read about it on some other unnamed Disney boards, so I called the RPDE company directly. It was 800-BEPETTY. I said I was calling about their Orlando location and that I heard that WDW AP holder got a free ride-along and the lady confirmed it.

Apparently, it went out in an email to AP holders, but I know I didn't get it.

I'm so excited since we leave next Fri!

Thank you for your inquiry into Richard Petty Driving Experience. For
the ride along, no reservation is taken. To receive your complimentary
ride along, simply present your Annual Pass to our track personnel in
Orlando. This promotion is valid until March 31, 2010. If you should
have any additional questions, please feel free to contact our Customer
Service and Sales Center at 1-800-237-3889 or 704-455-9443. They are
available Monday-Friday from 8 am to 7 pm EST and Saturdays and Sundays
from 8am to 5pm. We look forward to your participation in Richard Petty
Driving Experience.

The only question I have left is how much time should I account for? Does this experience take several hours or longer?

I'll be calling to find out more, but If anyone else knows it would be appreciated.

Just spoke with RPD and they stated that the ride-along visit could take about an hour or more...Depending on how busy they are and track conditions, etc.

Also the operator reminded me that you need to wear closed toe shoes...no sandals.

I'll be doing this in March...Can't wait!!!

I did this on Wednesday. Great fun, no hard sell on the $$ packages. You get 3 laps. They do take your picture and put it in a plaque, which they offer for sale, but no big deal. They do have shirts for sale in the shop, and they were buy one, get one free, so DH and I got 2 long sleeve t shirts for $20
