    Default Favorite Value Resort

DW just confirmed she can take vacation Easter week, so I can book our next trip. Which is your favorite Value Resort and why? We have stayed at POP and ASM. I prefered ASM, because of the bar outside the food court and the more grown in landscaping. Especially the palm trees that line the pool area.

Pop was just too big for us.

    on both counts.

In fact we prefer the All Stars over POP. This is just our thing though. If given the choice I would stay at POP and not have any complaints with exception of the size of the resort.

    Default Favorite All Star Resort

Me and my family stayed at Movies in 2007. We really liked it. Easy to get around and nice grounds. Did not feel crowded at all .

Pop is our favorite. We've stayed at all 4 values, but we prefer Pop. 2nd choice would be Movies. We like the food court and bus system better.

I have only stayed at Pop. If the AS resorts are similar, then I would not have an issue staying at any of them. For me a resort is a place to sleep and swim. The rest of the time is visiting the attractions. Maybe if I take a long enough trip, I will do more relaxing at the resort.

I have stayed at POP many times and then ASMu this past August. I didn't mind the ASMu but when we were there we also had our own car for transportation which we usually used more often than the bus. The ASMu food court was much better than what I remembered when I had gone there for the day in the past. But POP food court has a few more options, IMO.

All of them will be a great choice since you'll be at Disney!

Pop has a bar just outside the food court down by the Hippy Dippy pool. Maybe a few steps farther than you would like, but it is available. They did close the bar inside the food court area, but I never saw that one open when we were there anyway.

I'm sorry. ASM is meant to be All Star Movies. It has a bar right outside the food court.

We've stayed at both POP and ASMovies. We vote POP hands down because:

    1. newer, cleaner rooms
    2. beds are boxed in underneath so items don't get lost underneath
    3. dedicated bus service - no sharing like the AS resorts
    4. overall theme and location

We'll only go back to POP from now on!

I have stayed at 3 of the 4 values. It's all pretty subjective, I suppose, but POP just did not ring my bells. Next time I return to a value, it will most likely be movies. Music was fine, too -- but we stayed in the Country and Western section which was the furthest back and seemed like it took forever to get back to our room after a long day in the parks. That is probably the only reason I have a preference for Movies.
