Default Thanksgiving was Off, Spring is On...help me pick a time!

As many of you know, my DH has been very sick with an inoperable brain aneurysm, and we called off our Turkey-day trip. (thanks, btw, for all your prayers and pixie dust!).
Things have settled down enough that we have decided to plan a spring trip, something positive for our family to look forward to!
    Here's whats important:
That its not cold, swimming matters alot to my kids and DH, and we need that warm sun!
That it's manageable. DH is getting stronger, but he is no where's near where he was in terms of stamina., that is taking time.
That we can get some wanted ADR's, like Ohana's and Sanaa.
That's it. Heres what we're thinking..Mid February, Any time in March, or early to mid April.
    Thanks all!~Lisa

I am so glad your husband is doing well and you can plan a trip. How exciting! I enjoy mid-Feb (before President's Day) but it can be chilly in the evenings though. You may want to plan for after spring breaks so that you can have the warmer weather...

February can really be iffy in terms of weather. Crowds are quite high in the latter part of the month. If you can wait until after the Easter crowds leave, you should see both decent weather and lower crowds.

March can be pretty busy, from what I understand. President's Week in February can be busy and cool. I would do April, but not in the week before or after Easter. The last weeks of April when Easter was earlier in the month worked out well for us- great weather and moderate crowds.

    Lisa,
    AWESOME NEWS!!!!

February is very iffy. 80's one day, 60's the next. We went in March this year and had a good week. Crowds were busy, but manageable.

    I'm sure you'll get your favorite ADR's.

    Default We went February 2009....

and it was quite cool. Okay...it was cold!! The daytime was nice but the evenings were winter coat, gloves and scarf cold.

It was also President's weekend and the crowds were there! My husband and I were only there for 2 days so it was manageable as he just wanted to visit the parks and not really go crazy ( and only because I was going back in March with my daughter).

I've been reading your posts about your husband's health and I wish you all the best. A while back we exchanged private messages about our upcoming trip to Hilton Head and you were very helpful. I'm also in North Jersey so I felt you were kind of a neighbor of ours!

Have a great trip and keep all those posts coming!

If I were you I would pick the latest dates in April you can go. Most of the spring breakers will be gone and the weather should be great.

I might even stretch it into the first two weeks of May. It wasn't bad this past May when we were there.
    Can I go "home" yet?
    Mickey where are you?
