Default Will we have time to go to DTD and eat...

    Hello everyone!
We are scheduled to arrive at 7:30 p.m. on 12/16 and are staying at POFQ for the first time! We will be hungry after a long flight and I am hoping we can catch the boat to DTD to eat at Wolfgang Puck Express. If we arrive and check-in by 9:30 (we are using ME), will we have time to eat and catch the bus or boat back to the FQ? What time do they buses or boats stop running?

I found our info from POFQ and it says the boats run until 11:00. I seem to recall them telling us the last boat leaves DTD at 11:15.

I'm not sure about the buses. When we were there in Sept. the DTD marketplace bus stop was closed for refurbishment.

    Enjoy Wolfgang Puck's Express!

If you miss the last boat and there are no buses running (do busses run from POFQ to DTD?) you could always get a cab. It can't be that much since the resort is so close to DTD. The most we've ever paid for a cab was $20, including tip, and that was to take us from AKL to WL, which is a pretty far distance.

Maybe have an alternative plan for that first night incase something gets delayed. I always find it special to hang around our resort on that first night. Kind of get a feel for the place, enjoy it, relax. Could you eat at Boatwrights (sp?) over at POR and then spend the rest of the evening just getting to know your resort? That's what we always try to do the day we check in. Sometimes once the week gets going we find ourselves hardly ever at our resort which is such a shamed being they are all so wonderfully themed and decorated. Over the years we've begun to make sure we plan time to enjoy the resort we are staying at, it helps us to slow down, and we have had some of our most memorable moments that way. What ever you do I hope you have a great trip!!

I have thought about just staying at the hotel and doing just what you said - getting to know our hotel and just enjoying the sites there. I will definitely consider doing just that! Thanks for the responses.

The bus is the most reliable way to get from the Port Orleans resorts to DTD. The bus starts earlier, runs later, and doesn't stop running due to rain.

The boat starts runs to DTD around 11 a.m. Boat service is supposed to stop around 11 p.m. If you miss the last boat, you will NOT be stranded at DTD ... the bus will be available.
