Default Just back 12 nights at ASMu

We had a great stay. We've stayed here a lot in the past but really enjoyed it this time. Room was very clean in the Rock Inn building 4 and really fresh looking with the rehab. My daughter and I loved the main pool with all the activities and music all day. Our last stay was at AK Lodge in February, which is our favorite resort, but I have to say that staying at ASMu was a little more fun and tropical feeling with the pool and those beautiful palm trees. Only gripe was housekeeping, we had trouble getting the room cleaned one day and complained to the manager. They did give us a $50 credit for the night at the end of the stay, which we didn't ask for. I felt like the Disney service came through with that. After that our room was cleaned daily without trouble, but I did call every morning to request that it be cleaned by 1 or 2pm to coincide with my son's nap time. All in all, a great time and a great deal with the free dining. We usually go about twice a year and switch between the AK Lodge and ASMu each time, but I might be tempted to book ASMu every time and just stay longer!

Nice to hear a positive report. It seems to often only the negative experiences get posted here. Anyway glad you had a good trip.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. And I didn't realize you could request to possibly have your room cleaned earlier/later to go around nap time-that's a great idea!

Happy to hear you had a nice stay.
How were the restaurants? Were they more crowded because of the free dining? Did you have any problems in the restaurants.
I ask, because we're considering a September trip next year.

Great report! I enjoyed ASMu in 2003 for a lot of the same reasons. I also love your theory of staying longer by going value. I absolutely love the deluxe and moderate resorts, but if it means a substantially longer trip, or worse, possibly not going at all, a value resort like ASMu really hits the spot, and has a very "Disney" feel to it.
