swimwear question
Question.
I want to know if there are a lot of other women that wear thong swimwear to the water park or Beach club pool. I am going there in four weeks, and I want to enjoy the pool and beach club pool like always do with my husband and friends.

I've never been to one of the water parks, but I've enjoyed the pools at a handful of Disney resorts and cannot say that I've ever seen anyone in a thong swimsuit. I can't say I've ever seen a man in a Speedo, either.

I wouldn't be surprised if thongs were not allowed at Disney World locations. IMO It's pretty inappropriate for a family friendly environment.

WDW does not permit thongs in any of its water parks or at any of the resort pools.
Bikinis are ok, but thongs are out.
-
The only thongs permitted at Disney pools or water parks are commonly referred to as flip-flops.
-
Only saw one once at AKL...it looked very out of place and a female CM very politely (but firmly) let the girl know that she would have to put her wrap back on. Much to the delight of "most everyone" (me included) at the pool.

Sorry, but I am not sure that the question was clear. Would women wearing thongs contribute or detract to your enjoyment of the water parks?
-
While not publicized, resorts and especially Disney water parks have dress codes. No thongs. Remember it is a family setting.

When I was visiting in July we went to Typhoon Lagoon and saw TONS of thongs as well as in the resort pools. We stayed at AKV and SSR. I was actually suprised, I thought Disney wouldn't allow it. Maybe it was just so crowded that they lost control.

This doesn't surprise me since Disney tends to attract a number of foreigners and foreigners sometimes tend to wear a bit less. We were on the beach in Atlantic City a few weeks ago which also had a culturally diverse crowd and did indeed see a few thongs on the beach. Something we might not see in Cape May or Rehoboth.

I've never really noticed much in the way of thongs OR speedos in the parks or resort pools.
If you wanna see inappropriate swimwear on out of shape bodies, go to Hampton Beach, NH! The things you see make you go ick.

The only thong swimsuit I ever saw at anything Disney was when we went on the Big Red Boat back in 1993. A man had bought his very young girlfriend with him on the cruise and must not have realized it was a family oriented cruise. I only saw them once on the first day at sea for a few minutes and then no more. I am thinking the crew must have mentioned that the swimsuit was a no-no. It was very inappropriate for the setting. I unfortunately heard that flashing the cameras in the slide rides at Blizzard Beach by girls in bikini's wasn't going to be monitored any longer so be careful when you check out the pics at the end of the rides with your little ones. I have refused to go to Blizzard Beach any longer since Disney did away with banning this type of behavior. What has the world come to????

I've never seen anyone in a thong at the resorts we've stayed at (Grand Flo, Poly, POR, CBR and Pop), or at the water parks. They are very inappropriate for wear in WDW.
I've seen a few pretty skimpy bikinis on bodies that shouldn't be wearing them, but definitely not any thongs.

I haven't seen any thongs, but MANY men in speedos all over WDW. They're more common among European men. It wouldn't be my first choice for a man, but hey, to each their own.

We've seen quite a few over the years and quite a few approaching teenage girls topless too. Never once saw any of them being addressed by CMs. Luckily, Tyler was little the last time we ran into this though because I really am not ready at the age of 10 to explain cultural diversion!
