I think your itinerary sounds very do-able and fun. Are you planning on going to the Hoover Dam on your way to the Grand Canyon? We found it very interesting!

I saw Mystere at Treasure Island and everyone in my family loved it!

Here are some free things to do in Vegas:

The Belligo fountains were alot of fun. I think I could have watched that all night long. The way the music and water flowed together was perfect.

Treasure Island Pirate Show. It's done outside every night and a ship blows up and sinks!

The white tigers & dolphins at the Mirage. But don't bother paying to get into the Secret Garden.

MGM has lions inside that are fun to watch for alittle while. There is also a Rainforest Cafe in there if you are interested.

While you are at the Rio you will need a cab to get to the rest of the strip but I heard it has an excellant buffet. We never did make it over there.

The Lux Cafe in the Venetian is owed by the "Cheesecake Factory" and the menu is huge and prices aren't bad. The Venetian Canal is also worth seeing and while you are there get the gelati (the best I have ever tasted).

    Have a great trip.

Tell us more! What two Cirques shows did you see? Did you eat at the Rio buffet, if so how was it? Wasn't the Grand Canyon great? I'm glad you had a good time.

    sorry for not responding earlier.
Rio was the best of the buffets i ate at, which included Excalibur and Planet Hollywood. especially at the check in desk they gave me a 10% off coupon & it was lunchtime.
Cirque shows were Zumanity and Mystere. Zumanity was better. wanted to see the others but no discount tickets at the same day places.
Lion King was pretty good as was Fantasy.
the trail at Red Rock State Pk was long......
    Grand Canyon was great!
