A returning Character Angler

Well, hello fellow anglers. I was around this board a lot in early 2005 and 2008 in preparation for our last two trips. I enjoyed all of the posts from the regulars. I am happy to report that I just booked a surprise trip for the kiddies in November. So here I am again to begin my "research". Our last trip was incredibly bountiful (in a character sense). Are there any new character developments in the last year and a half or so? Or are things pretty much the same? Is the teardrop still hit or miss (mostly miss)?

Currently the only new characters out are the Fairies in Toontown (Tink, Iridessa, Silvermist, Rosetta, and Fawn), and the UP characters in Animation (however, I heard they were going to be leaving in Oct. Not sure if that's true). Have you met the Tremaines? They were brought out within that time period.

And yes, the Teardrop is still randomly used for characters.

We did catch the Tremaine's last time, thanks. I would love to catch the UP characters. Hopefully they extend further into November.

There are some rumors floating around about the return of Thumper to the parks....a friend of mine (very reliable) broke this news on another site.

Also I would say Brer Rabbit is someone who has been out at Animal Kingdom lately. Other than that and the ones who have been mentioned I would try to catch a MVMCP since you will be there in November, you may be there late enough to catch Uncle Scrouge. Plus make sure you hit the Fantasmic meet n greet at DHS for some uncommon characters.
