Epcot dining (sorry for the length)
I know this has been discussed ad nauseum, but I think I really need some help here. We're going in September, and I decided against dining in Epcot for several reasons that I won't go into here, but mostly because of other members in our party.
Just found out that DH's aunts will be meeting us for a day in Epcot, and I need to make ADRs for dinner somewhere. We're heading over to Spoodles earlier in the week. Suggestions on where we could eat would be most welcome. They will eat anywhere; DH and I don't really care; need to have something not too adventurous for DD; Dad can't eat anything with seeds/nuts/tomato sauce.
Some of us have already eaten breakfast at Norway, lunch at Tutto Italia and Le Cellier (fat chance of that one, anyway), and dinner at Marrakesh, so we'd like to try something new. No one really wants Chinese or Mexican. I fear Teppan Edo would be a let down for DD, as we eat at local hibachi places all the time.
So that leaves Biergarten, Rose & Crown, or France. Will probably be paying OOP for this meal, if that matters.
Any suggestions would be most welcome!
Thanks!!
Christi

My preference would be Rose & Crown. We enjoy dining there.

My vote would be for Biergarten. Its a fun atomosphere, has not too adventerous of cuisine and frankly the is a definite plus. Our DD had so much fun dancing to the oompah band. I think after CRT that was one of our favorite meals. The buffet has a little bit of everything and I think that everyone will be able to find something that they like.

I would choose Chefs de France, but Rose & Crown is good, too. Biergarten is a buffet, but the food is very heavy and filling. The atmosphere is a lot of fun, though.

We tried Tokyo Dining for the first time last week, and found it to be quite good. Nothing too out of the ordinary, so good for my picky eaters. Even got a view of Illuminations. Quite nice!

Keeping in mind your dad's dietary restrictions, I would second the suggestions of Rose & Crown and Biergarten. Not in EPCOT but nearby at the Beach Club, you might also consider the buffet at Cape May.

We love Epcot dining.
As others said, Biergarten is really good food, lots of choices, DD actually chose to go back for her BD dinner. Its a party atmosphere, really fun.
Coral Reef has not disappointed. What a unique atmosphere, and the food has been consistently good.
But....bum, bum bum bum!!! Our new favorite! Tokyo Dining. Blows the doors off of Teppan Edo. The food was outrageous, the service ultra polite and accomodating, and your DD would love that the kids meal comes in a plastic monorail!!!!

We ate at the Biergarden on 6/15 for lunch - my first ever lunch there - and I have to say, the food was better than I ever remember. A real treat, and a real fun place. I highly recommend Biergarden over France or the Rose & Crown (though the R&C is a sentimental favorite).

Thank you, all, for your thoughtful responses! I forgot to mention in my OP that we tried Coral Reef last trip. I enjoyed my meal, but DH's was horrible, and the service was lackluster. DH is a pretty easygoing guy but he absolutely refuses to return there.
After much deliberation, I have decided on Biergarten. The menu at Chefs looks great, but the atmosphere at Biergarten seems more "fun." DH and I will be attempting to pick up the tab for everyone, and I think Biergaten might be slightly cheaper. ? And I know that most of us will enjoy the there!
I contacted Poly concierge and we got ADRs for exactly when we wanted them.
So thank you all!!

That's correct, and when Cat Cora gets in there to do her thing, it's gonna be great!!!
Right outside the International Gateway there is the Beach Club, and Cape May is right there. It is a very short walk once you get over to France. The food is excellent, it is a buffet, lots of choices, nice atmosphere, great desserts. We enjoy it!!!
Keep smiling and Have a magical day!!!
It's all good.
We love to serve fun, food, and deliciousness.

1) From your post, I can only guess there are some picky eaters.
2) Or, there is a wide variety of appetites.
3) I would go with many of the others.
4) Take Biergarten.
5) There are enough common foods for everyone.

Thanks, I'm aware of this. I asked concierge to make ressies for Spoodles or Kouzzina, and they're listed as Spoodles. I think they're doing a soft transition to Cat's place, as opposed to a complete renovation and overhaul.
Either way, I think we'll enjoy the meal.

The problem isn't really picky eaters (not this section of the group, anyway--we're traveling with friends who would be ecstatic to eat cheeseburgers every day!), but my dad's dietary restrictions, and that we've tried a bunch of Epcot places and would prefer to sample something new.
Dad's actually looking forward to Biergarten, he says that German sausage typically isn't made with fennel or caroway (which he can't have), so hopefully he'll have more choices.
Thanks for your input, though!!

I'm not a big fan of France just because I find their food too pricey and fancy. That's just me.
Never been to Biergarten but hope to try it some time.
I'd like to recommend R&C because the food I had there was very good, but the service was pretty lousy. We waited quite some time to finally be seated then literally waited 45 min to an hour for our food to finally come out while others around us who had been seated after us got their meals. It wasted a lot of our time when we only had one day available to us at Epcot. I might be willing to give them a 2nd chance some day, but I don't know if my wife would.
