So excited I just pre-purchased my Wii ToyStory Midway Mania game that is coming out on 9/15!

We aren't preordering it (too close to an Oct Disney trip), but it's going to be under the tree at Christmas, if it doesn't "accidentally" fall into my shopping cart before then.

I have never understood the point of "pre-order" for stuff like this ... is there a remote chance stores will run out? I'll just head down to CostCo and pick mine up ...

People pre-order because sometimes there are discounts offered or little gifts that come with them. I have looked and I see nothing special about pre-ordering, so I will wait and get mine when we get back from our trip probably. We leave the day after it's released. Doesn't give us much playing time.

If you use pre-order through Amazon, you get the current price (which tends to be pretty well discounted) and they will also lower your price if it goes down before they ship. Basically you are locking in a discount but not missing out on future discounts.

Also, they do not charge your card till they ship it and you can always cancell your order with no penalty before they ship it. So, if you pre-order, it work out pretty well.
