How did you find INTERCOT?

My husband and I were at a local wine festival in CT. We were looking for a place to sit and eat and the tables were taken up. There was a women who had 2 empty seats at her table and asked if we wanted to sit. I thanked her and noticed that she had a Disney 2007 bag. I asked her if she was a fan of Disney and she was. I told her I was fan of it as well. They told me about Intercot. It has been an addiction ever since. I still see the nice couple that introduced me to Intercot at our NE meets from time to time.

Did a Yahoo search while planning a trip and clicked on the link. Ran across a few folks I "clicked" with (JimmyC, dpamac, Patricia, Ozarker, to name just a few) and decided to stick around.

Ten years later, they still can't get rid of me!

about four years ago..
i was bored at work about 4 years ago..and i was just looking up disney stuff..and i came across a thread that really caught my interest..and i kept coming back to see what was happening...and then i just became a member..

In 1999, I started researching Disney vacations because my then two-year old was obsessed with the Disney Millenium commercials on TV. He's jump up and down, yelling, "MICKEY'S HOUSE - MICKEY'S HOUSE!" I found Intercot through a web browser search, looking for as much information as I could. However, back at that time I was hesitant to sign up for anything online, and I thought our trip was a once-in-a-lifetime thing. I think I finally grabbed a user name in 2000, but cancelled once our trip was done. In 2001 we decided we HAD to go back, so I re-signed up under a different user name. Been here ever since!

When we were planning our first trip as a family I searched some particular questions...that search led me to Intercot. I lurked for awhile before I joined in the fun!

I lurked too because I had gone to other sites and some of those beginner questions were answered very rudely. When I saw how nicely questions were answered here I asked my first one.

I was going a search on FW, and a bunch of the results were from this thing called Intercot . I clicked on them, liked what I saw and joined very soon after

I found Intercot when trying to find info on Shades of Green before our first family trip in 04 -

I discovered Intercot doing a search on WDW. I was a lurker for quite awhile and joined. As it has been said previously, this is a great site - posters are always helpful and very upbeat!

My mom has been on here for years and would constantly talk about it. Then Disney came out with vmk (virtual magic kingdom), an online game, and I started playing that. I ended up joining Intercot so I could keep up with some of the players in the game. It took me a long time to actually look at any of the threads that didn't have to do with the game! Now the game is gone and I'm still hanging out!

I joined Intercot in March 2006 after lurking for a few weeks. DH and I were just in the planning stages for our January 2007 trip, and I did a Google search to find pictures and video of WDW. I had actually used Intercot for the same purpose about 4 years prior, but didn't know about the message boards at that time.

I think I came about it by accident. I lurked for a while until someone was bad-mouthing the Coronado. The DW, DD and I had just stayed there so I joined, weighed in with my opinion, and been here ever since. I believe it has been about six years now.

Mostly lurked and then finally joined in 2004. Still mostly lurk.

DD introduced me to Intercot when we were planning our first trip in a long time in 2006. Learned all about the dining plan and restaurants, resorts, etc. I was new to blogs and was a little intimidated to post, afraid I was intruding, but everyone here has made me feel very welcome. I love this site and spend more time on it than any other site that I belong to. I try to introduce as many others to it as I can. As second DD says, you will learn more than you thought you ever wanted to know on this site.
