    Default Engagement Photo Session?

Has anyone done this photo session before, inside or outside of the parks? We emailed Disney and it's $310 for 1 hour and we would do it in Epcot before WS opens, preferably in Mexico where we got engaged! Anyone have any experience doing this?

    Hi Liz,

I'm actually going next Saturday! I will let you know how it works.

Yes, that's the price they quoted us. You get a few prints and rights to all the photos for that price. They told us to pick a few countries we would like to take our photos in, and they will try to get us to all the ones we pick.

You meet the photographer at the international gateway before the park opens and they take you in.

    Hope this helps! Congrats!

    Liz,
I have actually not had it done, however, many disney brides have and they have been very pleased with their photos. You can also opt to have an outside photographer take pics, but I dont think they are allowed access into the parks any longer. I know a lot of girls have chosen Randy Chapman (he is our wedding photographer) to take engagement pics on the beach of Poly or Grand because it is a lot cheaper than disney, and the pics come out gorgeous. Just a suggestion!

We got married on Disney and part of the package included a photo session. Because we were using our own outside photographer (Randy Chapman) they offered us the engagement session instead. We had it done at Magic Kingdom. It was great! The photographer has access to areas that are 'off limits' and this allow you to get great pictures. She also was able to get us in with numerous characters without any waiting. There are a lot of secret doorways hidden throughout the parks and that was fun to do also. Long story short - we had a great session and the photos were also very good quality. It comes in a disney book. I think they gave us 15 'proofs' and you could order any of the pics online. We actually went for longer than 1 hour because the photographer had no one else booked. Itg didn't hurt that she used to live just around the corner from us - small world!

Does anyone know if they offer photo sessions for families? I would love to have our pictures taken in WDW. We just added our fourth child to the mix and would love to havev some great pictures taken of all of us while in Disney. Sorry to hijack your thread. Congrats on your engagement!!! Yes, they do. See this thread.

The deal has changed since this discussion happened, so I'm not sure what the current policies and prices are. But I call recently on another issue to ask a question about the resort sitting sessions and they are offered.

Yes but it's only available at those 5 resorts. I believe Disney Photography only does weddings, honeymoons, anniversaries, and engagements while PhotoPass does families.
